Perfect

Feels very heavy and solid in the hand. Improved the gearshift dramatically, and partners well with the evo3 short shifter.
Awesome shift knob!

I compared both the RK6A and RK7A shift knobs for my BMW 545i and much prefer the design of the RK7A.
A few months ago I installed the UUC Motorwerks short-throw shifter, but used a BMW M-Style shift knob. The BMW shift knob has plastic inserts, which quickly broke, causing the knob to twist left and right, and to come right off the shift lever!
I then contacted UUC about using one of their knobs and wondered if they, too, had plastic inserts. Fortunately, they do not. Moreover, the RK6A and RK7A have set screws that you tighten after placing the knob on the shift lever and adjusting the height.
The RK7A has 3 properties that make it a truly amazing choice:
1. It is heavy.
2. It is wide.
3. It is secured with a set screw.
The weight and width of the knob provide wonderful tactile feel. But more importantly, less effort is required when shift gears, particularly when shifting to reverse. With the BMW M-Style knob, I often had to use 2 hands to move the lever into the reverse position! And I work out at the gym 4 times a week with weights...
With the RK7A mated to the UUC short throw shifter, I finally have that real short-throw satisfaction that I was longing for.
Holy crap thats awesome

I originally had the ZHP because everyone talked about how great it was. I bought the RK7A because I prefer the feel of metal over leather. No shiftknob can compare to the RK7A. It is very weighted and makes driving a pleasure. Nice strong shifts. Highly recommend. UUC shipping was great, arrived in just three days.
