Makes a huge difference, and with the dssr its a total different car now and way more fun to drive. I also added the unlock valve.
The only thing I didn't like was in the instructions to install the shifter it tells you to install the cup thing with the 6 small allen screws and then to install the bottom part of the plastic cup part for the shifter, but you have to install the bottom cup part first then install the cup/spacer thing with the 6 small allen screws otherwise you can't get the plastic cup thing in

Replaced floppy vibrating stock shifter/rod with this today... an absolutely incredible improvement! Snappy, accurate throws and very robust build.

I had installed a UUC shifter in my car ('86 M535i) in 2000, and for the past few years cannot have been happier. It has remained tight and not loosened or icreased slop during that time. UUC has continually improved their product over the years and is now better than ever. Highly recommended!

By Far The Best Upgrade For An E28!

After replacing my worn out shifter with a brand new BMW unit, I was so disappointed with the feel. It still felt "Sloppy". Last week I installed the UUC Evo III shifter and I cannot believe it is the same TRANSMISSION!! The entire feel of the car has changed. I know this sounds hard to believe, but it is very much so. I have driven a car with another "name brand" shifter that was supposed to be the "solution" to all of our problems. The only thing I noticed was vibration and noise. Sure, it was tight, but the tranny noise was unbearable. Two Thumbs up for the UUC Evo III shifter!! This is going in ALL of my cars.
