This kit is designed to repair and/or strengthen the front subframe mounting ears around the engine mount bushing attachment points. Weakening, cracking, and eventual failure occurs as a result of mileage or hard use. Strengthening of this area is critical not only for safe operation in a street car, but also for optimum performance in a track or race car.
Note: installation of this kit does require welding and access to the underside of the car.

E36 Frt. Subframe Reinforcement Kit

Had a BMW Tech install the Frt. Subframe Kit.
Together we dropped the whole subframe from the car making it easy it easy to weld, paint, etc.
This also eliminates any possible damage to car's electrical/computer system. Took about 2 hours total, using a full hoist and MIG welder.
Ask me in 10 years if it was worth it, but I know all the E36 racers, Chump Car teams do the upgrade to prevent subframe failure.
