Got a BMW with a squeaky clutch pedal arm driving you insane? Is it also sloppy, and slipping to the side?
Quite simply, it is well-known that BMW's original clutch arm bushings are the culprit for these annoying problems. You can lubricate, replace, curse, even murmur obscure voodoo prayers - but none of that will work.
The Solution:
By simply replacing the stock bushings with the UUC Motorwerks Clutch Arm Bushings (made from self-lubricating UHMW*) you can permanently get rid of that annoying squeak and the side-slop.
$20 per set is an inexpensive way to keep your sanity.
* UHMW possesses a unique combination of physical and mechanical properties which enable it to perform well under the most rigorous conditions of wear and environment. It has the highest known impact strength of any thermoplastic presently made, plus high resistance to abrasion against a wide variety of metals. These properties make UHMW an exceptional material for industrial impact, wear and sliding operations.

No more squeak and slop
From mikehd of Lebanon, Oregon on .
This was actually more difficult to install than the DSSR. The one point in the instructions that could use some clarification is re-installation of the clutch/brake switch bracket. I could not get the bracket re-installed with the brake switch in place. I needed to replace it anyway due to the false brake circuit failure symptom, so I removed it from the bracket during re-install.
Getting the brake switch back in was insane. You have to depress the brake pedal sufficiently to allow the new switch to snap into the bracket without allowing the switch collar to slip back inside the switch preventing the module from snapping into position. Sounds confusing, but when you face it, you'll understand.
Also, I only received one spacer washer, not two, but luckily only needed the one.
Overall, the improvement in clutch pedal action is remarkable. A noticeable improvement for $20.

Works great! took all the "slop" and "squeaking" out of my clutch pedal. The stock Bushings had 130,000 miles on them.
If your E36 Pedal is even beginning to squeak or have some side to side movement, this is the right part for you.
Installation is easy, just takes a bit of patience, as the space you have to work with is tight.
Don't bother with the stock bushings or lubricants.
