These rotors are designed for the UUC/Wilwood big brake kits for applications originally using a 325mm x 28mm rotor. Minimal unswept area, lighter weight than standard E46 M3 rotors used in these kits.
A 2-piece rotor design allows the disk portion to expand
radially with heat, separate from the cooler mounting hat. This reduces stress-induced deformation of the disk due to differences in temperature between disk and hat. The net result is more effective braking and longer lifespan of pad and rotor components.
