Delrin carrier bushings not used in this application. What makes the UUC Motorwerks short shifter kit so good is the engineering and attention to fine details, many different points that add up to tremendous differences in how the unit works and feels.

We use our own precision-machined pieces, all "massive overkill" designs, race-tested to ensure they easily surpass the rigors of street use.

Upper lever section is height-adjustable for driver comfort and personalized ergonomics. Simply loosen, slide lever to preferred height, and re-tighten.

CNC-machined stainless steel lower section features integral pivot ball. No welds, no plastic.

Special features that make the "Ultimate Short Shifter" unique:
100% CNC-machined 303 stainless steel construction.
UUC's "massive overkill" design philosophy exemplified. The precision machining of these shifters makes them feel like a solid one-piece design that still absorbs vibration via the silicone inner section. They do not come apart or flex like "clip together" shifters.

This is the third UUC short shifter I have purchased as it makes the E46 much more engaging to drive. Besides wheels and tires this is literally the best upgrade you can have for your BMW!

Original shifter and rod probably needed refreshed. Got evo3 and dssr on sale. What a difference. Half the throw, minimal left to right play, tremendous peace of mind when shifting, knowing you will actually shift into the gear you want. No more "money shifts" as my friend Mr. BMW would call them...

After a brief bout of research I decided to upgrade to the Evo 3 with DSSR, and oh man what a hilarious difference it makes from stock. The "problem shifts" from my old setup are completely fixed--going from 1 to 2 is buttery mechanical goodness, and the upshift from 2 to 3 and downshift from 3 to 2 are so firm and precise it's like hitting the eight ball with authority and watching with pure satisfaction as it lands in the corner pocket. It's absolutely fantastic engineering, and my only complaint is that I didn't upgrade sooner!

This is a great upgrade. Really Really short and shifting is super easy. The installation was harder than the instructions but worth every bit of effort.

This thing is friggin awesome! I installed the shifter and the DSSR... throws are half of what they used to be. Every shift is precise with no play at all. The more I drive the smother it gets. I like being able to shift with a flick of the wrist.
UUC has done an outstanding job. It was a little difficult to install but well worth the effort.

I enjoyed the 6 speed shifter i had stock, granted it felt like you were going to break it in half when you really get into spirited driving, I didnt think the UUC SSK would help much at all, in fact i was afraid i wasted my money before it arrived, Wow was i wrong, the shifts are so short when you are in 4th or 6th gear, the shifter looks like it should be in the neutral position... Absolutely incredible machinery.. The shifter is everything you want your woman to be, Tight, Firm and Fun to play with... Thanks UUC.. just send me the TSE3!
