With a lowered E30, there is the constant risk of scraping the oil pan on speed bumps, driveways, or other road debris. Replacing a damaged oil pan is expensive, and the sudden loss of oil from a broken pan means nearly instant engine destruction.

for all 1984-1992 E30 3-series models with updated E36 M50/M52/S50/S52 engines installed.
- Stainless steel in a nearly bulletproof 10-gauge thickness gives true armor protection.
- Oil drain plug cover. No hole leaving the vulerable oil drain plug exposed. Retained by convenient wingnut style fasteners. Correct location for M5x-series oil pan drain plug, ovalized for better clearance.
- All hardware included. Grade 10 or 8.8 in the various locations meets or exceeds BMW specification for strength. Self-locking flange head hardware will not come loose.
- Precision construction with slotted mounting holes. While every one of our skid plates is identical, that's not necessarily true for all E30s. Due to over 25 years' worth of use, some E30s may have their front radiator support in a position slightly different than when new... and the slotted holes in the UUC skid plate accomodate those variations.
- Quality materials. The entire
assembly is constructed in the USA of premium stainless steel alloy and plated hardware for a lifetime of use
- Extended front mounting lip. The extra couple of inches at the front of the UUC skid plate help box in the radiator air inlet area for improving cooling efficiency.
